De Oppressor Liber

It's been a decade
10 years ago today I left the gate at Fort Carson Colorado and drove back to the state of my birth. It's been 10 years since I have worn the uniform of the United States. Somewhere a private that entered service on the day I left is a SFC leading troops in combat. Memories are fading and places and times are slowly blending together. I liberate the oppressed in different ways now. I try to help those oppressed by disease, injury, or their inability to connect with civilian life. It's been a long time and seems like yesterday. I will always be connected to my brothers, the warriors that came before me, my peers, and those that followed. Best job I will ever have.
